There was a bug report on the CMSMS forum that I happended to see and respond to, and didn't read correctly. it pointed to a small (easy to fix, but major implications) bug.
So to try to keep my foot out of my mouth as much as possible, I did the quick change to the code and the_babe released it for me.
I hope this does the trick and I can finally start working on adding functionality to some modules, and creating a new set of bugs :)
